I'm looking at the schedule and wondering if Tuesday evening would be too early? I'll be there then. I'm thinking right after the orientation? Maybe 6:30--would that work for you or anyone else interested?
Aria would be great, but I don't know the hotel to say where to meet up. I would say front lobby or something but who knows how big that is Should we say front lobby and then once we arrive post something more specific?
I'm not a big poster here yet (kind of new to using Articulate), but would love to meet up. Tuesday night sounds good to me. Rebecca, I'm from Wisconsin too--live in the Green Bay area, work in Appleton. It will be nice to leave the cold behind for a while.
I'm taking one of the pre-conference workshops on Tuesday. So I will be there as well.
We could meet across from the DevLearn Info Registration Desk. If it is set up like last year, there should be some chairs next to windows on the outdside of the big hallway across from the DevLearn Info Registration Desk.
We could grab supper together if interested.
They have a buffet at the Aria. It is good, but a little pricey. I think it was @ $30 per person last year.
Or - The Harley Davidson Cafe is not far away. On the other side of the strip within waking distance. Prices are a little better there. Mostly burgers if I remember right--but good.
Let's plan on 6:15 in the Aria, across from the DevLearn Info Registration Desk. If it is set up like last year, there should be some chairs next to windows on the outdside of the big hallway across from the DevLearn Info Registration Desk.
Then we can decide if or who wants to grab supper together.
I'm looking forward to meeting anyone who wants to join us.
Articulate was awesome enough to post this thread to Facebook so others would be able to find it .Like me! I get in between 2 and 3 on Tuesday, and since last year I did a night in / got a free ride to a Hampton Inn, I have NO IDEA how to get to the Aria that afternoon.
Soo.. I would be happy to join y'all at 615 if someone can tell me HOW to get to the Aria from the Airport!
Also, I vote for BUFFET because (1) it's easy enough to deal with (2) is pricey, but no more than anywhere else (3) I know *I* will be sufficiently hunger after 5 hours on a USair flight from Philly.
This is my first DevLearn and I would love to meet up with some people. I will be taking a workshop on Tuesday as well, so 6:15 works for me. I am staying at the Aria as well.
Katie, I sure hope that snow isn't coming my way! Right now we have the windows open because it's so nice out, but the front is moving in and it is supposed to get below 30 tonight. Oh, well, that's what the upper midwest is like at this time of the year. But I'll take that over a hurricane any day.
Sorry all I can no longer meet up on Tuesday - all Tuesday United flights have been cancelled. Hope to be there by noon on Wednesday. If anyone is planning a meetup on wednesday hope you will post it here!
Just found out that the buffet at the Aria may be closed for renovations. They do have other restaurants. Also, Planet Hollywood is across the street on the strip side. They have several restaurants including P.F. Changs (Yum).
Wednesday night is the welcome reception. We could say anyone interested could meet at the Articulate booth at 6:15 and go from there.

Sorry for the late reply! Sure--I'd love to!
Just thought it might be nice to meet some of the people that we see here on the forums in a very informal setting.
I'm staying at the Aria. Any ideas on when or where would work best?

Laura, are you flying out of Milwaukee?
That location sounds better. Should we call it 6:15 so we aren't waiting around?

Rebecca, I'm flying out of Green Bay Tuesday morning. Dinner sounds good. I'm not too picky about places.

I always take a taxi from the airport. It doesn't cost much more than a shuttle which stops at all the hotels. Much quicker to take a taxi.
Thanks Rebecca! That makes things easy enough.

Great!
We'll see you there.
The more, the merrier!
Is anybody arriving early Monday? Would love to go get crepes at the Paris anytime after 3ish.

I'm arriving Monday after 6pm.
Not sure about crepes.
Will need to check-in and then get supper somewhere.
Okay, I am now a definite MAYBE (as-long-as-a-freakin-hurricane-doesn't-screwup-my-flight-outta-PHL!!!)

I woke up to SNOW this morning. High is 41 today so will melt...but just not ready for that!
