How to publish Storyline output to Dropbox or Google Sites

Posted Monday, October 22, 2012 at 2:13 AM

Hi,

I have tried to publish Stroyline output to Dropbox and Google Sites without success. The option to publish to Public folder is no longer available in Dropbox. I need to make sample courses available to clients to view via Dropbox/Google Sites or something similar. What are the best options for showcasing sample content?

Thanks.

Anne

Anne-Marie,

If you've recently opened up a new DropBox account, then the Public folder is no longer a standard option. However, you can still create a public folder to publish to.  https://www.dropbox.com/help/16/en

Anne-Marie,

If you need a short-term (under 10 days) solution, then you can use Articulate's really awesome tempshare tool!

Thanks for the suggestion but this unfortunately didn't work for me. I'm assuming that after you load it to the tempshare you copy and paste the link to that on your Google site? Is that right? What am I linking to after uploading to the tempshare?

Stephanie,

Once you load to the tempshare, you'll see a dialogue box pop up with the URL where you can access the presentation.  This would be the link that you'd use.

Thank you so much! I was able to post onto my Google site using the ishare gadget but I only see the storyline player. The content that I built never loads for viewing. Looks like I'm just going to have to come up with a different solution. I appreciate your help!
