I'm afraid I'm having a little difficulty understanding your question. I think you're asking whether or not text will scroll automatically, if you have a large amount of text.
It depends how you're displaying and entering this text. If you've placed this text on your slide in a text box, you'll want to place it inside of a Scrolling Panel.
Can you give me a little more information about what's happening, or what you'd like to do, please?
First insert your text in a text box with the width that you want. Then click Insert/Scrolling Panel and draw the panel with the dimensions you want. Do not draw it on the text box but next to it. Now, Drag the text box and drop it inside the Panel box. If it is dropped correctly a scroll bar will appear.
Thank you, Meryem. I think I was putting the scroll panel on top of the text. I could see the boxes but I just could not get the scroll to show. Now it is working!

I did not see an answer to if the scroll panel could be set up to "automatically scroll" through a large amount of text. Could you supply a bit more info on that?
The scroll panels won't automatically scroll through the text, if you wanted there to be an element of automation to seeing the text you'd need to set that up as a type of animation, or do a screen recording while you scroll through a section of text and insert that into your Storyline file.
I was reading this thread with interest. I was also looking for an auto-scroll feature to use on an Acknowledgements page, so that it could scroll like credits in a movie, but with the flexibility of having the scroll bar for users to scroll back through the listing if it scrolls by too quickly for them. Do you know if a feature request has been made for this type of functionality?
It's not one I've seen a lot of users discussing here in the forums, so I can't speak to how popular a feature it may be, but it's certainly worth sharing your thoughts on features you'd like to see in future versions of Storyline. You can send those requests to our product development team here.
I am from programming background and i am using story line 2 from many year so i did one lo gin page create and now i want that from this page data move will be on next page using Php with java script for dynamic, this kind of thing Is it possible or not please clarify me?
I'll defer to the community in regards to this set up and behavior, but you may also want to share a bit more information about what you've set up and where you'll be hosting this content.

I have the same question. How do I insert a scroll bar so that my lengthy text can be read by the user.?
Thanks,

I'm trying to do this for a presentation; however, Scrolling Panel isn't listed on the Insert tab in PPT 2010 for me. Am I looking in the wrong tab?
Hi Melissa, welcome to the community!
It sounds like you're using Presenter, and unfortunately, the Scrolling Panel feature is currently only available in Storyline.
Very helpful!!! Thank you so much!
Hi Iris! Glad that this thread was able to help you out! Thanks for sharing

Here's a couple discussions that may help you out:
Horizontal scrolling panel instead of vertical?

Hi All,
I am working on Urdu language and I need to appear the scroll bar on the left side of the text box instead of right side.
Is this possible in storyline. I am using storyline update 6.
Thanks
Gyan
Hi Gyan,
It is not currently a feature of Storyline to change what side the scroll bar appears on. You're welcome to share your thoughts on that as a potential new feature here with our product development team.
