Dear fellow German Articulate users,

We'd like to invite you to the 1st German Articulate User Meeting of the
Rhein-Neckar region in Heidelberg on June 17, 2014. 
Apart from networking, learning and sharing best practices with other Articulate
users we will discuss industry trends and exchange tips and tricks with Articulate
products.

When:

Haha I thought my basic German understanding was picking out football terms - however I thought that my eyes must be deceiving me.

@Nick: E-Learning ist in Deutschland durchaus akzeptiert. Allerdings ist die Entwicklung hier etwas langsamer vorangeschritten als beispielsweise in den Vereinigten Staaten.

Den gesamteuropäischen Vergleich kann ich natürlich nicht ziehen, aber wenn ich D, CH, A, NL, B und L (dort war ich schon aktiv) miteinander vergleiche, sehe ich persönlich hier keinen Unterschied.

Nach meiner Erfahrung sind die Lehrmethoden weniger vom Standort, sondern eher von der jeweiligen Unternehmenskultur abhängig.

Freue mich schon auf morgen!

@Nick: Ich kann Ralf nur zustimmen. Es gab vor etwa 10 Jahren mal ziemlich viel Aufregung um E-Learning herum in Deutschland. Die hohen Erwartungen konnten damals aber nicht erfüllt werden, so dass sich das Thema zwischenzeitlich wieder ziemlich beruhigt hatte und mittlerweile bedeutend seriöser angegangen wird. Ich bin gespannt, wie sich nun das Thema MOOC halten wird.

Sharing information and experience - motto of the first Articulate User
Group Meeting in Germany.

The venue for the event was the "Zapata" in Heidelberg where 10 Articulate
users gathered.
Axel Moser opened the meeting and introduced the speakers of the evening.
After the first presentation by Ralf Baum on the topic "The differences
between Articulate Storyline and Articulate Studio 13", Nicola Appel gave
a comprehensive insight into the world of Articulate E-Learning Heroes
community. Support, Tutorials, Weekly E-Learning Challenge - The exciting
and diverting lecture showed why the Articulate community has over 100,000
registered users.
For each user, whether beginner or professional, there are useful
information.

After the lectures, followed a discussion with an opportunity for
questions. The main topic of discussion was the integration of JavaScript
in Articulate Storyline.
Until 10 pm ideas and workarounds were discussed.

Conclusion: a successful kick-off event for. There will certainly be more
user group meetings.
However, it is still not known in which city it will take place.
