Check your answers

I'm working on the activity pictured below in Storyline 1 where I would like the learner to type in text entry responses then click a button that will allow them to check their answer. After they click the "Check your answer" button a green check mark or red x will be displayed based on their text entry answer. Is there a way to do this with variables and triggers?

Yes.
Here is a quick version, but the letter case has to be correct.
Let me play more, but this is a quick version.
Sorry, silly. If you want the case to not matter, then you could set the triggers to be:
Change the state of picture 1 (the check mark) to Correct (in my example Normal) when user clicks button 1 (the check your answer button) on conditions:
TextEntry = ABC
OR TextEntry = abc
OR TextEntry = Abc
or as many variations as needed.
Thanks for the help Tracy! Was that created in Storyline 2? Unfortunately I couldn't open it in my old school version of Storyline 1.
Even sillier...Articulate made it easy for us. The case thing is built right in. I've just never had need to use it and missed it being there.
Hey Joe, I jumped on the SL2 bandwagon quickly.
Here it is in SL1. Hope it helps. Let me know if I can help further.
Thanks! You're my super hero. I'm off to a meeting now but will post what I come up with after I have a chance to play around with it.
Worked like a charm Tracy! Thanks again for the help.
