Leveraging Web Objects and Social Media in Articulate

Hey Jim! Great discussion topic, and I'm looking forward to seeing what folks are doing too! Here are a few ideas that I've seen Articulate users incorporate into their courses via web objects:

• Questions/results from online surveys > Check out this example that Tom shared about Urtak. His sample demo about mid-way through the post is an Articulate Presenter course with an Urtak survey embedded as a web object.
• YouTube > David Fair put together a great series of screencasts that show how to add videos from YouTube as web objects in your Presenter course. There are quite a few customization options that you can incorporate into the embed code, to make the movie look & behave the way you want. You can find the details, and links to the how-to screencasts, in this knowledgebase article.
• Vimeo > Similar to the way you insert Youtube resources, you can use Vimeo videos as web objects in your course too.
• Google Maps, pdfs from Youblisher, and fullscreen YouTube > Brian Batt shared some neat ideas in the screencasts of this blog post.
• Twitter feeds > i.e., posting a dynamic tweetstream as a web object. This screencast is a little dated now because the Twitter widgets page looks slightly different but the basic principle is the same - you can grab an embed code from Twitter and place it on an html page, and then use that html page as a web object. 
• Prezi > This is a pretty fun idea too.
• Google docs > This was an example from the old forums where a google doc is incorporated as a web object and anyone can add to or edit it.
• Diigo webslides > This was a nifty example that Mike Taylor shared, showing how to incorporate a Diigo resource as a web object.
• Interactive crossword puzzles > Another fun idea from David Fair.
• Interactive pdf forms > Debbie of cre8iveii shared this one. Pretty cool.

May be not all the tutorial are made by you, but is a great job to show and to share them for others and put them together in one post.

You can also use Google Eearth Pro - record a path and save it out as an MP4 file. Not really a web object, just embedding flash from a web-based tool. I use this to create a sense of location for fictional scenario characters. It's an inexpensive way to simulate an environment and using street view one can walk down streets, etc as well as fly about the globe.
