I suddenly have this red text on a slide. The slide was working fine and then suddenly I got this problem. I did have my VPN on, which I normally don't. I am working from and saving to my local machine though. What would cause this and how do I fix it?
I was able to look at a backup version of this course and it has the same message on the same slide. The message doesn't show up on any other slides that I've checked.
Thanks for sharing the image here and letting us know that it was a backup version too. I can't read all of what the error says - are you able to share it here?
Have you tried importing the project into a new Storyline project as described here?
I tried importing the course into a new project and it looked like it would work until I tried to add some triggers on a layer. Then it showed the same issue again. The file is 89 MB so it is too large to share here.
You mentioned it's just that one slide - I'm curious if you tried importing everything but that one slide and then tried recreating the slide? Also, in addition to working locally you'll want to follow along with the other guidelines here.
If you're able to try the import without that one slide, and that one slide still seems to be the issue you could also share that slide with us. I could also send you directions on how to send it to me privately.
I got it to work eventually. I opened a new project and imported just the problem slide. It did not display the red text. I then edited the slide triggers and then copy/pasted it into the original course. That was only somewhat frustrating.

Thanks for the update Cary and I'm glad it was able to be somewhat easily solved.
