What you can do is add a new starting slide to your project that has a play button, and make that slide set to "advance by user" in the properties. You would then add a trigger to the play button to "jump to" the next slide.
This is an issue,as above, when there are several storyline files on a page. I have created a gateway screen as suggested. I have also set a trigger that pausees the timeline upon start, but this has not solved the issue.
Please Note: That in IE when using iFrame to embed the storyline files, the pages automatically jump or scroll straight to the place where the video is instead of staying at the top of the page.
This does not happen in Chrome.
From my users: "On pages that have the Storyline videos, on my PC but not on my Mac, when loading the pages, the pages automatically jump or scroll straight to the place where the video is instead of staying at the top of the page.
I read a little about this & read something about needing to put in some Java to force the page to load / scroll to the top when the page first loads in the viewer’s browser. Java is beyond me, but can you please investigate & correct this issue? We really want every page to load at the top, since that is how the pages are designed."
Hopefully someone in the community will be able to chime in if they can assist. This would be outside of the software and is probably something that your web team can assist with.
Use the Trigger Wizard to make a trigger for the embedded video.
Action: Pause media
Media: [Insert Video Name Here]
When: State
On: All of
Make sure [Insert Video Name] is checked on the list.
Modifier: "Is:"
Modifier: "Normal"
Click OK to complete the trigger.
At this point, users will have to click the video to get it to play -- and then click it again to pause. And if that makes you happy, great! Or you can get really nifty with your modifications...
You could create a HOTSPOT over your video so that it can't be clicked on.

Unfortunately this cannot be changed.

Please add the ability to turn off AutoPlay.
