Thanks for a great template David. I have added additional slides for each tab instead of keeping it all on one since I had a lot of material. I have also added trggers to the tabs to 'change state' to visited (a different color) on all the tabs. However, the tabs only change state when on that scene and slide. Once it moves on to a different scene, the tabs go back to their normal state. Is there any way to make them show the visited state once the tab has been clicked across all the slides?
@Noureen - I think I understand what you're trying to do. Do you mind posting your sample in our forums so I can take a look? I'm sure it's an easy fix, but I'd like to check out your file, first. Thanks!
Hi David,
Unfirtunately, I cannot post the file since I am developing it for a client and have signed a confidentiality agreement. I basically want to know how to show the tabs (which appear in multiple slides) in their changed state throughout the course, i.e across the slides once they have been clicked, not just in one slide. Thanks so much for your help.
Hi Noureen - Here's a quick demo using slide layouts to achieve the effect you're describing: http://www.screenr.com/W3R8 You could use variables, but I don't think it's necessary since you're just showing a state change for objects.
Let me know how this works for you!
Great! Thanks so much David. I had put the triggers on the master slide but failed to make duplicates in master like you did. This shows the audience which tab they are on and have visited....exactly what I was looking for. Thanks again!
I'm confused. When I download this template, I only have basicallyl one layout that has a folder in it, and that's the "main" (Welcome) page. I don't have any layouts that includes an "open" folder. Am I missing something? Thanks!
Judy,
The open folders are found within separate layers on the main page. Just check the Slide Layers pane (bottom right of your screen) and you'll be able to click on the various layers.
Hi David,
I am trying to use this template in my course and I am adding pictures and shapes and text boxes of my own. The file now runs REALLY slow... I cannot even move an object without a 10 sec. delay. I am having trouble finding advice on this from the forum. Do you know how I can fix this?
Thanks so much,
Julie.
