The quiz timer available in Quizmaker is a nice option if you want to impose a time limit on your quiz. But what about if you want to have a time limit on just a specific question, rather than timing the entire quiz as a whole?

One way to do that is to use this countdown timer, which is built entirely with Quizmaker shapes, textboxes, and animations. You can copy the timer onto any quiz slide, and it'll count down from 10 seconds to zero seconds, beginning when the user arrives on that slide. The screencast below shows how to apply the timer to your own quiz slides.

What happens after the 10 seconds are up? Well, that's up to you — you could use additional animations on your slide to add or remove information or answer choices, like we see in the screencast. If you need some guidance on building those, stay tuned! We'll cover that next time.
