Customize the Results Slides

In this lesson we'll make some modifications to the Pass and Fail results slide. While there are quite a few options we can work with, we'll make a few simple updates so you can get a good feel for what's possible.

If you're following along, I'm working in Lesson Files > Chapter 07 > Results.quiz

Customizing Pass Result

  1. Click Pass Results
  2. In the Pass Result text box, enter "Well done! You can click Print Results if you'd like a copy of your quiz. When you're ready, click Finish to exit the quiz."
  3. Using the Quiz_Questions.doc as reference, enable the following options:
    • Show user’s score
    • Show passing score
    • Allow user to review quiz
    • Show correct/incorrect responses when reviewing
    • Allow user to print results
    • Prompt the user for their name before print
    • Close browser window
  4. Click Preview
  5. Click Save & Close

Customizing Fail Result

And the process is the same here for customizing the Fail Result.

We'll keep the same options and only customize the Fail Result text box.

  1. Click Fail Result
  2. In the Fail Result text box, enter "Bummer, you didn’t pass. You can review the quiz if you’d like to check your answers with the correct answers. When you’re ready, click Finish to exit the quiz."
  3. Using the Quiz_Questions.doc as reference, enable the following options:
    • Show user’s score
    • Show passing score
    • Allow user to review quiz
    • Show correct/incorrect responses when reviewing
    • Allow user to print results
    • Prompt the user for their name before print
    • Close browser window
  4. Click Preview
  5. Click Save & Close

Now would be a good time to save the quiz as a final version.

  1. Click File > Save As
  2. In the File name text box, type "DITYC-Basics"
  3. Click Close to exit Quizmaker (You'll need to close Quizmaker before you can insert it in the next step)

Click Preview or Publish to view your files.

Updating the Quiz Title

We have one final change to make on our quiz. Did you notice the quiz title? Unless you specify a quiz title, Quizmaker uses the name of the quiz as the title.

Here's how to update your quiz title:

  1. With you quiz open, go to Quiz Properties > Quiz Info > Quiz title
  2. Enter Knowledge Check for the title
  3. Click OK to close the window.
  4. Save and Publish your quiz&

What's Next?

Well that's it for Quizmaker. In the next lesson, you'll learn to insert your Quizmaker quiz into PowerPoint.
