Most of the time, e-learning developers who add narration to their courses end up recording it right in Presenter or importing slide-specific narration files into their course. Sometimes, though, you might have projects where an SME or a narrator hands you one big narration file that you need to apply across multiple slides in your Presenter project. There's an easy way to handle this. It involves:
Importing the audio file, and then
Using the tools in Presenter's timeline audio editor to split the narration across your slides.

I wish I would have found this tutorial before I imported and dragged all the slide markers but I figured it out. :)
My problem now is that even though the audio plays correctly, slide to slide in a preview, it does not change slides once the recording starts published to an LMS. I've checked to see that all the slides read to transition automatically. I can't figure out what to do next.

Okay, now I think I really goofed it up. I published it for CD but did not copy it to the disc. I viewed the presentation to check it from the publish successful dialog box, veiwed/listened to several slides. I figured out that my original problem may have been user error. So I just closed the dialog box, planning on going back to the audio editor in the presentation. When I did, the sound was gone - I could see the slide markers but no sound waves. I went to the folder and no longer see the audio file. And, I can't figure out how to get that published successful dialog box back...or if I can.

Hi Michelle - any audio that you record or import should be stored in your PPTA file (Presenter creates this file in the same folder as your PowerPoint file).
