I love how PowerPoint provides so many image effects and shape effects to customize the look of objects on my slides. In fact, sometimes I'll combine several different effects on the same image or shape, to get just the look that I want. What's cool is, once I decide on the effects I like, I can quickly reapply them to other images or shapes without having to go through all the steps of selecting and reapplying the effects over and over. A nifty tool called the Format Painter lets me copy attributes from one object to another, with just a couple clicks:
