Version 3.0- LionelDieperinkCommunity MemberThis is a really nice addition to RISE. I only wish we were able to add audio :(
- DearneWilling-eCommunity MemberYes, it would be great to add audio!
- LisaPastoor-51cCommunity MemberIs it possible to use the scenario block for basic content branching? I need to have a large chunk of general content then the user needs to decide which area they work in to choose which content they'll follow. Then ultimately complete the course when they reach the end.
I'm not sure about that last bit - can you set the course to complete on a page as you can in Storyline?- LionelDieperinkCommunity MemberHey LP, I've just started playing with this block but if you wanted to you could use the text option instead of the dialogue option - as long as you aren't adding large chunks of content you could branch to different scenes.
But, you wanted a large chunk of content, so you'd need to use the buttons component for your branching and then have course completion tracked based on the learner completing a quiz (in your publishing settings).
- ElizabethHengelCommunity MemberGreat video! You noted how important it is plan out the dialogue prior to designing the Scenario Blocks in Rise. Do you have any best practices or recommendations on how to organize that storyboard?
Thanks!- Here's a document I use to help plan out the scenario content.

- WhitneyThurmondCommunity MemberIs there an option to NOT choose a character. We do not like any of the character options for a farmer scenario. If I could choose to remove the character completely then I can add one on the background image I upload.
- UPDATED: the comment below is no longer valid.
You can start from a blank scene and not add a character. That's not ideal for what you want to do because the background gets a slight blur.
If you add a character and export the course. You can open the assets folder and swap the character in the folder with your own. Just make sure you don't change the name and file type. And keep your image about the same aspect ratio.- WhitneyThurmondCommunity MemberHow do I start with a blank scene? Every time I add a scenario block it defaults to a character. Same when adding a scene within the scenario block. Also, I've tried adding a scenario block and then deleting the scenes within it (as an attempt to start completely new) and I get a blank webpage.
- TracyLogan-2c79Community MemberI love this block but have yet to use it. I would love to use it and the user be graded somehow on it. Is there a way to do that? They customer wants more multiple choice questions but I would love to grade their knowledge retention using scenarios. Any suggestions or ideas?
- AyeshaBuxCommunity MemberCan we do a 2 person scenario? I have tried to but unable to.
- LionelDieperinkCommunity MemberThe Scenario has "two characters". You could always branch to a related scenario and introduce another person, but you'd need to have a text item between them to explain who was speaking or how the conversation had progressed. Hope this helps.

I cannot see the option to add another character for a 2 people scenario. Do you have any examples of 2 person scenarios?
- RandyKeppleCommunity MemberThis is a fantastic addition to Rise! And just what I needed to see today as I'm working on developing a branching scenario that is supported with micro-video segments. My question is about ending a scenario...
Let's say (for example) that I start with a scenario, the learner goes through the scenario and reaches the end. From there, I'd like to offer links to the (3) coaching feedback sections with micro-video segments, or they can jump right into the next scenario as a sort of pretest. I can't figure out how to create that link map at the end of a scenario. It seems to be locked into starting over again. Any way to change that button to link to existing blocks, outside of the scenario blocks? - RondaOteyCommunity MemberHow come in your video the background images are clear but when I create it in Rise the images are blurry?
Also, can you do two characters on one screen?- @Ronda: as it is currently, the background image will have a blur applied to it which I mention in the tutorial.
Currently, you can only add one character which is how the dialogue is set.- MattIllmanCommunity MemberGood morning Tom,
Are there any plans to be able to disable the blur feature? I would prefer a clean image background.
Many thanks
- DanielKirbyCommunity MemberI really like this tool, it's a great addition to Rise. Is it possible to upload your own character images? Or even hide the character altogether?
I find this style of character a little cheesy. - Currently, you can only use the Content Library characters provided.
