The fastest way to add audio to Articulate Studio

When you’re working on a large training project, it’s great when you can find a time saving method that knocks down your production costs.  One great way to save time is the audio upload tool in Articulate Studio.  I was recently having a conversation with someone who demonstrated a method for quickly loading audio into an Articulate Studio project.  I was blown away because I had always inserted audio one file at a time.  A client would send 50 audio files and I’d add the audio one file at a time.  Needless to say, this method wasn’t very efficient. So, how do you quickly add your audio to Studio?

Step 1: Click the Import Audio button in the Studio ribbon, then select "Browse."

click the browse button to navigate to your audioStep 2: Select all of the audio files you wish to import into your course.

select all of the audio files you wish to importStep 3: Arrange (match) the files to the appropriate slide.

select an audio file and then use the buttons on the right to manage

In the following Screenr, I’ll walk you through this process.

Hi Tony, Great questions! I'd have to see one of your files to see how you're triggering the jump to the next layer. But try this... If you're currently telling Storyline to jump to a new layer when the timeline for that layer ends, switch the trigger to jump to the new layer when media completes. This way the audio file has to stop playing before the jump occurs. As for having storyline pause...you sure can! There are various ways to do it and the specific approach is predicated upon the use case/design. Here's one example: Let's say that you are on the base layer and want to have it pause at a certain point until the learner does something (clicks a button). 1. Add a layer and place the button you want the learner to click on that layer. 2. In the layer properties (click g... Expand
