Question for the ones who view this on mobile: is the content just smaller in the middle of the screen with pointless white space all around the 4 corners, instead of going right to the left and right edge of the screen, as it used to? Since the last updates during this year, the classic player started to display off center, and now I noticed as I initially published with modern player, it's not responsive, doesn't fill the whole screen, it just shrinks everything in the center with a lot of white space around it. This was designed with mobile in mind, a player size of 500x900... I had no idea it will end up not displaying with a decent re-scale on mobile. Perhaps I don't have the right settings on the mobile player? But what settings really, I just chose Modern Off and I haven't ticked anything in the Other settings. Any thoughts anyone?
- ChrisHodgson5 years agoCommunity MemberHi Alex,
There is definitely something strange happening with this.
I just republished one of my old projects built for mobile portrait to test (405x720) and there is a visible difference between how the original ( https://bit.ly/3dd8rlB ) and the newest version ( https://bit.ly/2YERRXA ) appear to be framed on my iPhone.
Since I last published the project, Articulate have removed the 'story_html5.html' file from the published project and consolidated everything into one 'story.html' file, and I think whatever changes they made in doing this has something to do with it.
But that's all I can really guess at this moment in time.- alexjinca5 years agoCommunity MemberThere is definitely something strange going on, Chris and not doing us any favours with whatever is happening, breaking files like that. I really hope it gets noticed and gets fixed. I went in and you are right...HTML5 gone...which I was using to generate the link. It's just an HTML file now, ugghhhh (desperation coming through, desperation coming through! :)
- MathNotermans-95 years agoCommunity MemberNoticed exactly the same issue on a newly build 'Mobile First' Storyline template. Checking your sample on my Samsung G7 gives the same big max whitespace around the project. No good and for sure needs to be fixed. Checked the published html of my project and its viewport meta-tag is correct ''
- JodiSansone5 years agoCommunity MemberLooks fine in my mobile portrait orientation on an Android. Cute Fox! :)
- alexjinca5 years agoCommunity MemberHey Jodi, did you try the second link and it fills the screen, center, with no white space all around it? Thanks for the feedback and the test :)
- JodiSansone5 years agoCommunity MemberI used 35wZLPD link. I'm just playing around with Rise Storyline blocks today so if you need more testing let me know. I have a day off! :) It filled my screen in portrait orientation. I can send you a screenshot if you like--let me know where to send it.
