This one's a tough challenge for me. Couldn't come up with an idea for animation so I decided to focus on the use of slider.
Sliders are really useful in showing a sequence of diagram so it dawned upon me to showcase sliders through origami instructions.
Here's what I came up with in such a short time. Only had a couple or so hours to spare so the shapes are a bit rough on the edges. All objects are done inside SL which is challenging too.

- JoannaKurpiewsk10 years agoCommunity MemberI probably try to do this origami :)
Design is cool - so simple and not cluttered. And text is reduced to minimum. Like it! - VeronicaBudnika10 years agoSuper HeroCalvin, you should be very happy with how this turned, it works well and looks really beautiful
- Mohammad-Hassam10 years agoCommunity MemberNicely done. I like the way you use sliders for orgami.
- KristinAnthony10 years agoCommunity MemberAgain, I love the different use cases everyone is using for this one. This is great, Calvin! This looks like animation to me!
- lizziewakefield10 years agoCommunity MemberThis is really nice design, and concept, I was thinking about taking the folding stuff I had done on to origami, but could be hard in 2D animation, Stopmotion could work though. I did get confused as to what to do at stage '4' though.
- CalvinLo10 years agoCommunity Memberi see what you mean. step 4 comes from the diamond you created in step 3. i think i need to put a note saying that it's an enlarged image from the previous step. thanks for trying it out.
- LindaLorenzetti10 years agoSuper HeroReally nice Calvin. Easy to understand instructions.
- jeff10 years agoCommunity MemberHi Calvin, beautifully executed. Simplicity is key. I believe adding a subtle animation here would add a lot. Check out my video where I applied a simple fade transition between each step. By the application of this simple effect you can almost feel as if the paper is being folded.
