I would like to assign 1 song to play continuously through a specific set of slides (without starting over on each slide) in my presentation and nowhere else (3.8-3.14). Is there a way to do this in Storyline?
I actually did something different. Where I wanted a layer change to a new scene, I inserted a rectangle off-canvas with a trigger that would change to the new layer when the timeline started (for the rectangle). That way it was all automatic.
Thanks, but I don't think this really addresses my issue. I'm not working with lightboxes or layers or anything. I just want to record my audio separately from the screen captures in order to be able to have more editing capability, and the way it looks now I won't be able to use the step-by-step slides with a single audio track that runs for the duration, but I'd have to cut it in pieces and insert it in each slide. I am afraid I won't get as smooth a flow that way. So I'll probably wind up using the single slide recording instead. I'm a Camtasia user and can do a lot more internal video editing in that program, so I'm still struggling with the lack of editing capability in Storyline and trying to find workarounds. For example, in the middle of a process I'm capturing on screen if I hesitate or cough, I have no way of isolating and deleting that. So I'm trying to find a way to record smaller segments of a larger video, in which case if I need to redo a recording because it wasn't perfect, I don't have to back track quite so far.

For now, has to be one slide, though I haven't tried splicing up the audio to see if that might work with multiple slides.
During the beta I did that twice, using one slide and many layers for each song.

Forgot to add, if you'd like one audio track to work on many slides, you may want to send in a feature request for Articulate's consideration.
Here's a thread that includes a link to a simple story Jeanette created showing how to do layers, which I guess is what you did, Gerry.

LOVE the MN demo

Ah, great tip. Love how off-canvas (off-stage) triggers work for so many things.
