Can I put an Engage interaction into Rise?

Hi Peter,

Have you tried embedding an Engage interaction using an iFrame code? First you'll want to publish Engage as a standalone interaction for Web, then host it on a web server. Next, copy the URL to the intr.html.

Within Rise, create a URL/Embed lesson or the Embed block type, and use this iFrame code there:

<iframe src="Insert Your URL to the intr.html Here"></iframe>

Give it a try, and let me know how it goes!

Any word if Articulate 360 are working on adding an Engage interaction to Rise, just like Storyline? I have created a Glossary in Engage I would like to add into Rise.

I have tried embedding my Engage interaction (where opens in a new tab) and also iframe into Rise. When I iframe it looks good apart from the iframe seems to cut off the top, bottom and slides of the interaction - does anyone know why this happens? I am using Amazon S3.

I am attempting to mimimise the amount of new tabs that open during the Rise course since I am already linking out to Rise from Canvas LMS.

Thanks

Dearne

Hi Dearne,

Great question! There aren't plans right now to link an Engage interaction into Rise as you can do with Storyline, but you could always take the extra step of putting that Engage interaction into Storyline, and then that into Rise.

For your iFrame set up, could you share the example? If you're hosting it on Amazon S3 you could embed that into Rise directly and shouldn't need to open it in a new tab.

Let me know if you need anything else!

No need to feel silly, Dearne! We all had to start somewhere.

Importing Engage interactions into Storyline is really easy! Take a look at the steps here. I'd look at disabling all the player elements of Engage and Storyline to make it look as seamless as possible. And then you'll follow the steps here for Storyline into Rise.

Think of it a bit like the Articulate 360 version of a "turducken"... 🦃   😉

If you've got the embed set up working though, no need to go through those extra steps! Use the method that works best for you and your development. 😀
