Character limit in URL's?

Hi,

Is there a limit on the number of characters that you can use in a URL? I have created a Engage Tabs interaction and try to add hyperlinks on the tabs, but Engage seems to cut off the URL's after 128 characters (I know, the URL's are loooong). Is that a known issue? Is there a workaround?
