Custom colours not displaying in timeline interaction

Jun 25, 2014

I built a timeline interaction in Engage with a custom colour theme but the default colours continue to show up when I preview the interaction. Any ideas for troubleshooting?

Hi Julia,

Welcome to E-Learning Heroes!

First, please make sure that you're working with local project files:

  • Work on your local drive (your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, including file corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior.
  • You should also make sure the directory path to your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters (for example C:\Articulate).
  • Avoid using special characters, accents or symbols in your file names (this includes spaces and underscores).

Additional information regarding "Naming Files, Paths, and Namespaces" in Windows operating systems can be found in the following Microsoft article.

If the issue continues, it may be best to determine whether or not this is specific to one file. Please try creating a new Engage interaction and see if you're able to reproduce the issue with the new interaction.

If you don't see the same thing in the new file, please consider sharing the .INTR file for the interaction so we can take a look.

If you see the same thing in the new file, it may be a good idea to try repairing Engage:
