Downloading Engage Interaction Templates from Content Library

Dec 15, 2016

Hello! I am working in Presenter 360, and would like to add some of the Engage interactions from the Content Library (specifically the Vision Templates). How do I do this? Thank you!

Hi Rebecca! Welcome to Heroes!

The Vision template can be used in Storyline 360 or Studio 360. Since you mentioned you're using Presenter 360, follow these steps to download the template:

Open Presenter 360, and click on the Articulate tab. Then click Content Library.

The Content Library window will launch. Search 'Vision' in the search bar, and the template should appear. Select the slides you would like to insert, and click Insert Slide.

Thanks for the quick reply! I should have clarified that I can download the templates for the Presenter slides, but I'm looking to download the Engage interactions that have the vision template shown on this page: https://360.articulate.com/content/template/269

I don't see the Timeline interaction, Process Interaction, or Tabs Interaction template when I search the content library using the steps you outlined. Or are those only Storyline interactions, not engage interactions? Thanks for any additional information you can provide.

Hi Janet,

We don't have Content Library templates for Engage as Engage interactions are, by their nature, already templates. However, if you have ideas for new Engage interactions, we'd love to hear your thoughts!

On the other hand, Quizmaker 360 does have Content Library templates. For each of our main template designs, you'll be able to find a corresponding set of matching Quizmaker questions. This way, if you happen to be using a Content Library template in Presenter and want a matching quiz question, they'll be there for you!

When you're in Quizmaker 360 and go to insert a Graded or Freeform Question, simply scroll down and you'll see the questions that match each particular template theme.

I hope this helps!

I agree Janet! I love the look and feel of the new content library templates, and it feels clunky to bounce between that and the more outdated look and feel of engage. I'd love to see the same tab interactions that were created for storyline in Engage (i.e., flat design, same button colors, etc.). It is seamless going between presenter and quizmaker with the new templates, but the engage interactions really stick out!

Oh, I see!

Hmmm...Yeah, Engage isn't designed to be able to do that. As a tool, it's purpose is to give you a set # of templates that you can quickly add your own content to. As a result, the interactions are built into the software architecture (code) itself whereas Quizmaker and Storyline are designed to let you do the creating.

Given that it seems you might be feeling a bit confined by the Engage options, have you thought about bringing your project over into Storyline? Doing so would give you access to a broader range of features and interactions and it's really easy to cook up a custom tabs interaction if you can't find just the right look.
