Engage 360 won't save with youtube video embedded
Apr 22, 2019
I have an Engage 360 file that I have embedded a youtube video into. Using the following code:
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/na6yl8yIZUI" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I am using the Accordion style interaction. I saved the file before embedding the youtube video. I followed the recommendations for naming the file (name = TestAcc.intr).
When I try to save the file with the embedded youtube video I get the following error: "The project file could not be saved. The method or operation is not implemented."
Does this mean we can not use Articulate 360 to create our courses if we need to embed youtube videos into an Engage 360 activity?
Help!
Debra

Hi there, Debra. I'm sorry you're experiencing this bug. We have it documented, and I'm adding your discussion to our report. We'll update you with any changes.
Is it possible for you to download the video as .mp4 and insert it directly into your Accordion interaction? This is the only current workaround.
I am trying to avoid that option because of copyright concerns. Also is it really legal to download a video from youtube without permission?
I have tried to get more information about downloading and can't seem to get a clear answer.
Hi, Debra. Thanks for this context!
I'll defer this question to the individual video's copyright and YouTube's Terms of Service here: https://www.youtube.com/static?template=terms
As we continue to investigate this problem, I promise to keep this discussion updated as soon as new information is available. Here's an inside look into how we tackle bugs like this one.

Hey Debra,
I have good news!
We just launched the newest version of Studio 360 this morning which fixed the issue you saw in Engage 360. More specifically, the issue where a project file couldn't be saved after adding a video embed code has been fixed! You can check out the release notes for this update here.
The next step is to update Studio 360 by heading to your Articulate 360 desktop app and clicking the "Update" button.
