I have been trying to change the color scheme for a project in Engage. Nothing seems to change it. I have white text, and when I hover over the text, the highlight is also white, and the text disappears. Please advise me on how to change this highlight color.
Please see image 1 and 2 below to see what I'm talking about. Thank you.
Hi Christie. Thank you for responding. I am working locally, and I am not experiencing any erratic behavior. I'm just a little confused about which option changes the color of the highlight on that text, when you hover on it with the mouse pointer. Another detail that I just realized I forgot to mention, the text is a hyperlink. I have tried editing the template colors as shown in the attachments on this comment.
The colors are controlled by your theme colors as detailed here, and there is an option for hyperlink. The hover color is a variant/shade of your hyperlink text color.
Correct - you could look at adjusting the color if you "faked" it using a transparent shape over the text as the hyperlink vs. the text itself. That way you could change the shapes states from "normal" to "hover" and even "selected" as if you use the built in states they'll work as described here.
Thanks, but that description is for Storyline 2. Although I do love that software, I am required to use Engage for this project. I am using the Media Tour interaction, and the hyperlinks I am using are located in the text box at the bottom of the development window. I believe this would be the "Caption" area.
If you're having continued difficulty I'd like to take a look at your Engage file, and you can share the .intr file here with us using the "Add attachment" button.

Hi, Michael, and thank you for providing the screenshots to illustrate the behavior you are seeing. There are a few general troubleshooting steps we can run through to rule out the causes of some odd behavior. Can you please confirm that you are working locally, and also see this information on Unexpected or Erratic Behavior in Articulate Studio '13, as well as How to Repair Articulate Studio '13.

Thank you, Ashley.
Does this mean there is no way to change the hover color, specifically? It relies on the color of the hyperlink color?

Whoops - I had them both open at the same time. Here is Engage's tutorial on theme colors.
