Engage Preview/Publish not consistently working

Hi,
I'm creating 4 very similiar timeline Engages. After the 1st one I did a "Save As" for the 2nd, modified accordingly and went to Preview. I just got the "blinking circle" and even after resuming editing was unable to preview or publish and see output. When I resumed editing, most of my graphics were replaced with one image I was using in the Engage and the others were gone.
I'm using the latest version of Flash player and have cleared my Internet cache. I've had some publishing problems in the past but never know when I'm going to get this "blinking circle" and have to start over.
Any thoughts are appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Susan,
If you are experiencing unexpected issues using Articulate software, here are some tips for managing your files which can help prevent issues.
1. Work on your local drive (your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, including file corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior.
2. You should also make sure the directory path to your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters (for example C:\Articulate).
3. Avoid using special characters, accents or symbols in your file names.
If the issue is unrelated to the above, can you please perform a repair installation of Articulate Studio '09 to see if it resolves your issue? Let us know if that helps...
Thanks!
Hi again Susan,
Are your interactions part of a Presenter course? If so, check out the troubleshooters here and here for possible reasons and solutions.
Hi Peter,
I am doing all you suggested. Maybe I will try a repair installation.
Thanks for replying, appreciate it.
Sue
Hi,
No, sorry should have mentioned. Just standalone Engages that I'll be including in a Lectora course.
Thanks again,
Sue
