Engage Tabbed Interaction - Color Changing

When using the Tabs or Labled Graphic Interactions, is there a way to have the colors of the tabs or buttons change color after the learner has viewed it?  This way the learner is able to keep track of what they've read and what they still need to do?  Any thoughts?
