Flash won't load in Safari on a PC

Jul 02, 2013

Hello, this one is strange. I have created a few interactive objects for a course on Desire2Learn, the computer I'm using is a PC.

I have built a couple of them with Articulate Quiz maker and a couple with Engage. All work in Chrome, Firefox, and Explorer. And all of them but one work in Safari (v. 5.1.7) (built with Engage.) If only the Quiz Maker worked and all the Engage didn't, then I'd have a clue, but one Engage works perfect while another one does not.

What could be going on here?

Good Afternoon, Guillermo.

I think the first thing we should do is determine whether or not this issue is specific to your LMS.  To do so, please upload the problematic content to a free account at SCORM Cloud (which is an industry-standard tool for testing SCORM output) and test it there.

If the content works OK at SCORM Cloud, you'll need to open a ticket with your LMS vendor to see if they can help you figure out what's wrong.

However, if the problem is reproducible at SCORM Cloud, we'd ask you to upload a copy of your .intr file via a Support Case so that we can take a closer look.  Thanks!

Hi Justin,

Thanks for responding so quickly, as always. I think I know the answer to your request, the interactive works offline, it just does not work when in the course. I think that proves the problem is the LMS, or any combination of LMS-Safari-Articulate.

I'll see if I can get help from Desire2Learn and may or may not come back to you.

Thank you for your suggestions
