How to activate the Next arrow in a Tabbed Interaction
May 25, 2011
I'm using a Tabbed interaction as a question and answer interaction. The scenario and question are in the introduction and then there are two tabs with answer choices. One tab has the correct answer and one is labeled with the incorrect answer.
If a user clicks just one tab, which should be the appropriate way to respond, feedback in audio and text play. The Next arrow does not get activated and blink, however, even though the Properties is set to user can leave any time. The interaction is waiting for the user to click the second tab to play the audio and then it will be triggered to blink. Since it doesn't make sense for a user to select both answers, is there any way I can tell Engage to activate Next when only one tab is selected?
Whew.

It sounds like you need to select in the Show "Next Slide" button option SHOW ALWAYS

Yes, you're right, thank you. That works and so does clicking the small right arrow. But the large Play/Pause/Next button stays in Pause mode and could confuse the learner. I was just wondering if there was a way to get it to return to its Play state.
