How to get user back to a previous slide after leaving interaction
Mar 09, 2011
Good morning! I did a search for my issue but didn't come up with anything, so I apologize if this has already been asked/answered.
I'm building a module with a menu slide. I'd like each menu selection to take the user to a specific tab interaction and once they finish the interaction I'd like the user to be directed back to the original menu slide so they can select a new interaction.
The only way I can think to accomplish this is to make duplicates of the menu slide and insert them after each interaction....I'd hate to do this though so I was hoping someone out there has a work around or perhaps I'm missing something within interaction properties that will allow me to do this.
Thanks!!
Jackie

Hi Jackie & welcome to Heroes,
You should be able to branch the user back to the menu slide by using the Slide Properties feature. From here, you'll be able to "branch" the end-user from the Engage interaction back to the menu slide.

Oh man...I knew it was going to be something easy that I should have thought of! Thank you so much for responding so quickly!
Jackie,
You will also want to make sure that you have a "Finish" button on your menu if you use this approach as well because otherwise the user will just keep circling back to the menu after each interaction. If that's what you intend, then that is fine. But I figure most mods have a finish at some point, lol.
Yup - that was the next thing I thought of after my 'duh' moment! And also because I have inadvertently done that before - sent my poor users into a vicious cycle of clicking only to get nowhere!!!! Ahh, the joys of learning as I develop - it never gets old!
