Hi - I found a modern interaction template and wanted to use one of the examples - a clickable tab (paper file type thing). I am currently evaluating Storyline 2 (am currently a Studio 13 user) I imported it into my eLearning and it all looked messed up and didn't really work - I think this is because it was created in 4:3 screen size and I am using 16:9. Is there any way around this?
Those interaction templates are locked in the 4:3 ratio.
In addition, Engage interactions are imported as Flash objects. As a result, they aren't supported in HTML5 output or the Articulate Mobile Player app.
You may be able to find other helpful downloads, such as this one, created within Storyline natively that could assist.
This post is about 2 years old. I don't know if you are still looking for a solution. Here is my solution -
1) Create the Engage interaction and publish it for web. The published folder will contain several files. "Interaction.swf" is the main file to look for.
2) Create an "index.html" file that scales the "interaction.swf" to 'exact fit'. I have attached the same file here.
3) Copy the "Index.html" file to the published folder of the Engage interaction.
4) In your PowerPoint, insert the "index.html" as a web object. Adjust the sizing as required.
5) Publish the file and check out!
6) Note that there will be a bit of skew. However, you interaction will fit 16:9 aspect.
