opening engage 09 files in engage 13?

Hi there,
I'm new to Articulate products having just started a new job and being handed a number of Presenter 09 projects that need a little TLC.
I've installed the trial version of Presenter 13 and I can open the presentations, but the slides where there is Engage content have broken.
I have a screen shot from a CD export of the original 09 version of the project that looks like this...
But after importing to Presenter 13, the same slide looks like this...
Any suggestions for where I'm going wrong?
Thanks,
Lucien.

That is correct there are new placeholders in Studio 13
Hi Lucien,
All looks normal as Phil mentioned that's a placeholder and you may want to review the information here on inserting Engage interactions into Presenter '13.
Hi Lucien!
As Phil mentioned, when working on your project you will see the place holder as indicated in your image.
If you need to edit, you should be able to click 'Edit in Engage' from this slide.
When you preview or publish, you will be able to see the actual interaction.
I hope this helps.
Thanks everyone.
First week on the job and discovering Articulate for the first time. You have all been a big help so far.
Yes, the slides worked fine when I actually exported the presentation. Feel like a fool for not having tried that first.
Thanks again.
Lucien.
Hi Lucien,
No worries and glad that you were able to get things working again. We all have our moments of forgetfulness. :-)
Sorry to burst the bubble, but it seems I was clicking the "preview" button.
In preview, the slides worked fine, but when I exported the presentation, I still had problems. I have narrowed it down to slides with video embedded in them. The Engage tabs seem to be working with text, and recorded audio, but the video does not play. The same is true with video embedded in normal slides in the rest of the presentation (not Engage slides). Curiously, the videos play fine in preview, but not once exported. Nor do any of them appear if I import the entire project into Storyline 1.
I think my problem is with the video itself, and since I nto been provided with the original video files, just the power point files, I don't really know what to do about it.
You guys have been very helpful, but I think I'm going to have to look for another solution here.
Hi Lucien! Thanks for the update. Please be sure that you are viewing the published project in the intended environment and not locally as that could cause some issues as well. Check out this article.
Thanks for that article Leslie.
I was publishing for CD and testing locally on my machine, but I will do a trial of publish for LMS and upload to our Moodle site and see if this makes a difference.
Cheers.
Happy Dance!
I published the files for LMS and pushed them up to Moodle and it worked. The width was off, but I'm sure I just need to play around with some export settings to get that right, but the videos all played correctly.
I'd still like to be able to get this presentation into Storyline 1 because we have a license for that, while I'm just using the trial version of Presenter, but for now I am happy.
Thanks everyone for my crash course in Articulate.
Glad to hear it Lucien :)
Storyline allows you to leverage existing content that was developed in PowerPoint / Articulate Presenter. To learn how to import presentations into Storyline, click here.
If a presentation has Articulate resources, such as audio or video, the PPTA file must be in the same folder as the PowerPoint file, and they must have the same file name. However, Presenter does not need to be installed to import content into Storyline. Currently, Storyline doesn't support importing from Studio 13, so they'll need to be files from Studio 09 (which would include Presenter, Engage, Quizmaker, etc.)
There are a few other elements that won't be brought over in the import as Travis mentioned about items like colors, you'll also experience that with items such as player templates, playlists, and here is a general list of items to consider when importing Powerpoint files in Storyline.
