Poor Audio in Engage

I'm really struggling with importing audio into Engage.
I recorded all the files using Audacity 44100Hz 16bit, and have converted them to WAV format, again using Audacity. They sound crystal clear.
After I import them, they sound great when I preview the file. But when previewing the slide from Powerpoint, the quality drops significantly. Suddenly the audio sounds tinny and scratchy.
Powerpoint's presentation options are set to CD Quality, and I've even set audio quality in Interaction Quality to 160kbps.
Does anyone else know what I can do to improve the quality?
Thanks!

Hi Jonathan!
If you haven't already done so, check to be sure the Audio bitrate in Engage matches what you have selected in Presenter:

Hi Peter - thanks so much for your reply!
So interesting. I changed Powerpoint's/Presenter Interaction Quality to CD Quality to match Engage, and it fixed some of the slides' audio qualities - but not all of them.
I've been uploading some new files and they are still suffering from tinny audio, while some orginal problematic ones are, as I said, now crystal clear.
I'm at a loss!
Sorry - I meant that I've changed each Engage slide's settings to CD quality to match Powerpoint/Presenter.
Hey Jonathan!

Problem solved - instead of making both Presenter and Engage "CD Quality", I needed to specify a bitrate of 112.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing your fix, Jonathan.
