the directions in the email thread were great and the link to the actual powerpoint slide used as the 'canvas' was unbelieveably helpful.
i was able to edit that slide, add another layer, arrow and text, change colors, snagit and save into a labeled graphic etc...just like the directions said.

There is not a built-in way to do so, but check out this thread with a creative work-around
