RE: hidden tabs when using the "steps" engage

Aug 07, 2012

I am using a "step" Engage interaction in my presentation.

I would liket to include several hyperlinks for more information within the interaction. (I.e. considerations / examples). I don't have a problem creating the hyperlinks to take the learner to this information, however, I don't want the information screens to show in the "step tab" field since it is not part of the step.

Does anyone know if there is a way that you can "hide" these tabs (steps) as you can in presenter?  I didn't see any option in the player interaction properties.

Thanks for any advice!

Hi Kirsten! I'm sorry, right now there isn't an option within Engage to create hidden steps or segments - but that would make a great feature request! The only workaround I can think of would be to perhaps create your supplemental content outside of Engage (such as in PDF documents) and then hyperlink to those documents from within your interaction. Here's one way you can do that: https://player.vimeo.com/video/204933987

Good Morning Sophie, and welcome to Heroes!

Since output that has been published for Articulate Online is not editable, you won't be able to use the method in the Screenr above.  Instead, you would need to host your supplemental documents on the web somewhere (such as Amazon or Dropbox), and hyperlink to them from within your Engage interaction.

Please let us know if you need anything else, and have a great day!
