Rename Interaction files

Jun 22, 2015

How do you rename an interaction (.intr) file to the name of the embedded .swf file? I understand the file names must be the same prior to publishing a course. The course was originally created in Engage '09; I am now using Engage '13.

The course was originally created in Engage '09. When the course was published, the Engage .swf files were renamed as embedded .swf files. For example, in the PowerPoint presentation, when an .intr file is created, an Engage Output folder is created at the same time. When I choose the option in PowerPoint to insert a .swf file, I access that .swf file via the Engage Output folder. Once I publish the course, the .swf file is renamed to 'embedded_flash_0.swf'. So now I have a content and .intr folder/file whose names do not match the 'embedded...' name. I understood that the content folder and .intr file names needed to be change to 'embedded...'. For some reason I cannot update the folder/file name.

Hi Teresa,

Ok - thanks for the explanation so that I could understand your original post better. In regards to the file names matching that's not something that is required by Articulate, so I'm not sure where you saw that information, and as such you won't need to be making any changes. If you need to change these for your LMS or similar, and are doing so within the published output folders it won't be something I'll be able to assist with - so I'll defer to the community to assist you.
