Sharing Player Templates

Jun 16, 2011

Hi, bare in mind that I am very new to articulate, so apologies for any mistakes! I was tasked with creating a customised player template and now I need to share the template with others. I've tried help, looking in the manual and trawling the web but can't find the solution. I am hoping there is a superhero out there who can comew to my rescue.

Kind Regards

Marcus

Sharing templates and assets is a big part of the job, so you asked a great question.

The easiest way is to use Send to Package to create a zip file of your project files--PowerPoint and .PPTA files---so you have a single file to share with developers. You'll need to Publish your current presentation once before you can Send to Package.

Another option is to copy the xml template files from one location to another. That's not a great option for most users since it requires drilling down into system folders.

Finally, you could save your PowerPoint file as a template (.pot or .potx). I wouldn't include the full course slides, only the slide layouts and colors. Check out an example Tom just shared in our downloads gallery. This is how we create and share most of our template files.
