I have developed a engage activity in articulate engage 13 for a project, while publishing the next and previous buttons are not appearing in the template.
Mine is an FAQ and the Playback is currently set to Interactive. For this particular interaction, Linear would actually make more sense, and if it would help I could change it to Presentation. The tutorial wasn't helpful because there is no "Segment Order" regarding the Next button on (at least my) FAQ as shown in the attached screenshot.
Hi Alison - The tutorial is a general overview for all interactions and the segment order section specifies that it is for the circle diagram or pyramid interactions.
The image that you shared shows that you have disabled the prev and next buttons.
Perhaps if you read this explanation by Tom in this thread, it will make a bit more sense about the options you have.
With the release of Update 3 for Articulate Studio '13, you can now control how the Prev and Next buttons behave for Articulate Engage interactions embedded in Articulate Presenter courses. The navigation buttons can either jump to the previous/next step in the interaction or the previous/next slide in the overall presentation. See this article for details.

Hi Surya!
Looks like you are inserting that Engage into a Presenter Project?
Check the Slide Properties to be sure that the Prev and Next buttons are marked to show on your Engage Slide.
I am having this problem, too. There are no options on the Slide Properties to show Prev and Next. I uploaded a screen shot. They're grayed out.
Hi Alison!
How do you have your Playback Mode set for your interaction? What type of interaction are you using?
Be sure that the previous/next buttons are set to show as this tutorial explains.

OK. I'm with Chris. Why in the world did the default suddenly change to the next and prev buttons being disabled? I had no idea it was even an option.
Tom's response, that I shared, was the best to explain this.
If you'd like to submit a feature request, you are welcome to do so Alison.
