Why does the Engage Interaction only play once?

Feb 22, 2011

Hello,

I made an engage interaction, but when I tried to play it in my presentation, it played only once. After the first play, it would just appear as picture, with the last label. I tried saving the presentation and opening it again, but the interaction would just keep loading and never actually play the interaction. I tried to publish the interaction directly into the presentation as a slide, but it wouldn't play; it just gave me all of the settings of that interaction in a bar at the bottom of the slide. In the background of the slide, the interaction was published as a picture, so it will not play. The interaction is a Guided Image, by the way. Please let me know if I am doing something wrong or if there is something wrong with the publishing.

Thank you,

Vinny

This is the interaction as it looks if I try to replay it. If I close the presentation and then open it and try to play it, it looks like this: I have it saved on my local hard drive at this point, but I want to transfer it to a flash drive or a CD in the future. If I insert an Engage Interaction directly without publishing it as a flash video first, it looks like this and acts like a picture:This only happens when the interaction plays by itself.

I would suggest that you delete the interaction from your presentation. Reinsert it. Then publish to a new directory path you haven't published to before like:

C:\Articulate\Publish

See if that resolves your issue for you. If it doesn't, I would suggest you submit a case by following the steps below.

Please create an Articulate Presenter package, then upload the zip file to our server. You can review how to do this here:

Upload the resulting zip file from your computer to our server using this upload form:

Please be sure to include a description of your issue, your version of PowerPoint, version of Windows and version of Presenter '09 which you can find in Help and Support -> About Articulate Presenter. Please also include the URL for this thread so we can follow up with you in the forums.
