Conclusion about user group based on IP addresses of guest users

Hi there,

currently I am publishing content via Articulate Online to a broader target group on an informative, non-compulsory basis, mostly due to unpredictable participation interests of the target group. Hence, all users typically visit my content as guests.

Is there any possibility to track down individual users' metric further than "Anonymous" (if they do not have a dedicated account)? For example, can I perform a target group analysis based on the anonymous users' IP adresses?

As far as I figured out, this is not possible via the customizable reports. Is there an option to solve this with the Articulate Online API?

Many thanks in advance!

Hi Roxanne!

You can check out or documentation on the Articulate Online API here if you wish. It seems to be moreso for integrating other systems with AO and I'm not sure about acquiring IP addresses as this is out of my realm of knowledge and support here.

Your content must be public, but perhaps enabling a guestbook would allow you to capture some additional data that you are needing.

Otherwise, hopefully someone in the community will be able to pop in and better assist.
