quiz attempts limit in articulate online

hello,

I imported the questions from quizmaker into articulate online for the user to take the quiz. In the quizmaker, i selected only one attempt, however, when I imported the quiz into articulate online,  It seems that the user has as many attempts as they wish to retake the quiz.

Is there a set up in articulate online that restricts the user to only have one attempt?

Thanks so much for your help!

Hi Amara,

In order to allow your quiz to be attempted a specified number of times, you need to enable the resume feature in Quizmaker. Here's how:

  1. Open your quiz using Edit in Quizmaker.
  2. Click on Player Templates.
  3. Click the Edit button.
  4. Click the Navigation tab.
  5. Under the Resume section, check the Prompt to resume on Quiz Restart (also check the Ignore Flash Cookie options if your quiz is used in an LMS).
  6. Click OK.
  7. Click Close.
  8. Click Save and return to Presenter.
  9. On the slide that contains your newly inserted quiz, click Properties and change the number of attempts.

I believe if you leave this option set to default, the user will be able to continue to take the quiz over and over. However, if you enable the resume function it should stop this from happening.

Let me know if this works for you!

Hello Christine,

I verified my quizmaker and the settings is correct. I think it has to do something with the Articulate online that allows the user to take the quiz over and over again. Then it will keep the latest and greatest score. However, I don't want the user to be able to do the quiz multiple times and the articulate online will keep the best score. Any ideas on that? Thanks for your response.
