Report Status

Reports for an individual appear to always report the Status the same way regardless of how the LMS reporting is set up (Completed/Incomplete/Neutral). 

What I need is (all on same report):

"Pass" - Achieved passing score 

"Fail" - Did NOT achieve a passing score

"Incomplete" or "Neutral" - Either the content or test were aborted part way through.

Can this be set up and how do I do it?

Well this was a no brainer...didn't use brain! Was setting the reporting status thru the LMS and not Online. Works great when you go to the right place in the program. Thanks

Is there a way to install a timer on a failed test? I have courses that are somewhat challenging. I'm getting some failures and the guys simply go through the course again to try to get a passing score. What they are supposed to do is to meet with their supervisor to review the results before they retry. This isn't happening. So i thought it might be nice to put a 24 hour timer on any retakes.

Anyway to do that? Thoughts?

Hi Manfred,

A timer to not allow them back in till after 24 hours has passed? Unfortunately there is not such a timer built into Storyline or AO - but I suspect it may be something you could accomplish if you were to use some custom Javascript. I'll have to defer to the community for additional assistance on that though.

Good Morning Ashley,

Appreciate the referral. Have another question. Most of the courses I publish as "private" which are accessed through Online and that works just fine. I have a limited number that I want to publish as "public". Can you refer me to a tutorial or discussion thread that can provide further information on creating a direct launch button from a computer (desktop) we have dedicated for training purposes?

Hi Manfred,

The only way I know of to have a course play off the desktop would be to publish for CD and then place the published output files on your desktop to allow the user to play from there. There isn't a way I've seen for linking to the Articulate Online output as a local option - but it's also outside my area of expertise.

Ashley,I'm having trouble getting my projects to show/play in preview mode. This occurs for the Slide, Scene and Entire Project options. I did recently install Adobe Acrobat DC. Does this software interfere and cause this problem or is there something else you might suggest?Thanks,Manfred

Hi Manfred, 

A bug has been identified in Adobe Flash Player 20.0.0.267 that breaks several preview features in Articulate Storyline and Articulate Studio. For example:
 
* You'll see a blank screen when you preview a project.
* The preview area of the player properties window is blank.
* The timeline preview feature doesn't work.
* You can't preview videos, Flash movies, or web objects.
* You can't edit videos.
* You can't import Engage interactions into Storyline courses.
 
We recommend waiting to update your Flash Player until Adobe fixes the problem. If you've already installed Flash Player 20.0.0.267, here's how you can rollback to your previous version.
 
I will add this thread so that I can update when applicable.

Ashley,Worked perfectly. I might add, it would be nice if Articulate could communicate such problems to registered users once a problem such as this is identified and a fix is defined. Hi Manfred,

Within your E-learning heroes account you can update the email by going to the Profile image in the top right hand corner, and using the drop down to select "My Articulate ID settings" and you can update your email address there. Currently this doesn't change your email that you may have registered your Articulate software with, so if you'd like to update your contact information for that as well, please reach out to our team here.
