User registration in Articulate Online

We have never used AO before, but I have suggested it might be a good option for a new client but I have a fairly simple question, that I can't seem to find the answer for:

Can users create their own 'private' user accounts within AO and access the courses that are not flagged as 'public'?  Or does that have to be done by the administrator?

Hi Andrew,

The private users will be able to access any courses you've published - public refers to the fact that those courses are accessible to anyone who you send the link to, and you won't be able to track their usage.

  1. Private Users: All users of your Articulate Online account (everyone listed on the people tab). All private users have a login to view content.
  2. Public Viewers: All the people who view your public content (no login required).

You may want to also review this blog post about how to track users depending on how you'd want to set up your AO account.
