ActiveX error when inserting video

I have seen a few posts on this before, but never saw any answers with a def solution. Within the last few weeks, whenever I try to insert videos with Articulate '13, I get the ActiveX error. I have updated Flash for Chrome, uninstalled and re-installed Studio '13, and a bunch of other stuff. This used to work fine, as I use a LOT of video clips normally and have never had a problem. I am on Win 7. Any ideas? This is holding up some stuff I need to get done.
Thanks!

Hi there, Brian. I'm really sorry for the headaches! Our team is here to help lift this ActiveX burden off your shoulders.
I remember you posting in another discussion here, and I see you also opened a support case with us. Thanks for continuing to reach out – this issue certainly does sound frustrating! You should hear back from someone with some next steps shortly and I'll be sure to share updates here, as needed.
Hi again, Brian.
I took a peek at your case with my teammate, Ryan, and saw that we've got: Inserting video files in Presenter '13 (when using Microsoft Office 2016/365) results in the ActiveX error logged as a possible bug. Here's how we tackle bugs, and we’ll also post all updates here once we have them!
Really appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and I'm so sorry again for any headaches!
Thanks. I have three presentations waiting to be loaded because of this. I
may have to find another PC to do it on :(
Hi, Brian. It's me again ☺️
I wanted to keep you in the loop that we provided a workaround for that ActiveX error you're seeing when inserting video into Presenter '13.
Thanks for working through this with us, and we'll continue to keep you updated with new information!
I am not using Office 365.

Thanks for the extra detail, Brian!
The registry change workaround should include PowerPoint 2016 in general. I really appreciate you specifying that, and we'll be updating our documentation shortly.
If you're using a different version, please let me know! Thanks again, and I hope you have a nice holiday tomorrow!
