Adding Resource File Links to Your Articulate Presenter ’13 Course

Feb 25, 2016

Having followed the tutorial on 'Adding Resource File Links to Your Articulate Presenter ’13 Course'  and, in particular, how to assign a resource to a particular slide, rather than using the general Resource Tab function, I can't get the published slide to open the .pdf file.  I get this message

This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

</Error>
Can you please help with this problem.
I have attached screenshots of the hyperlink and that of the Presenter/Player/Resource dialogue boxes.

Question: When published, should the pdf file show up in the presenter_content folder? Currently it does not!

Cheers
Keith

Hi, Keith -- Thanks so much for your question and sorry for your difficulties! You may want to try to make a copy of the PDF file and store it in the same location as the .ppt file you are working on, then link the resources to that location rather than the original. Then when you publish, the PDF will be included into the course and will work properly.

It is also important to be sure to follow these guidelines for how to Create, Edit, and Publish Articulate Presenter '13 Courses on Your Local Hard Drive, but be sure to test your published output in the intended environment.

Please let us know if you still have difficulties and we'll see what more we can do!
