My PowerPoint 2013 was working fine prior to the update. I updated this the day it was released, and when I open PowerPoint, I get the following error:
Title bar: Custom UI Runtime Error in articulate
Error icon: Big Red X
Text of error:
Error found in Custom UI XML of "C:\Program Files\Articulate\Articulate Studio\articulate.ppam":
Line: 2
column: 153
Error Code 0x80004005
"PowerPointPageSetup" is not a repurposable command. Only "button", "toggleButton" and "checkBox" can have onAction callbacks in <commands>.
This occurs on a PowerPoint that has no articulate features and that I created several months ago.
I uninstalled '13, confirmed .NET 4.5, installed the VSTO, and the reinstalled '13. No joy. I still have the problem when I open up a PowerPoint (*any* PowerPoint) deck.
Glad you were able to navigate the pathway to resolution :) It did feel like a stretch when I shared it with you here, but literally we do not hear about it often.

Hi David!
Can you try the following to resolve the issue?
Install VSTO
Install at least .NET Framework 4.0
After installing the above, please restart your machine.
Let me know if you continue to have problems.

Hi David!
Thanks for the update. I have opened up a support ticket on your behalf and you should be hearing from someone shortly.
Hi David,
Can you disable the "Show add-in user interface errors" message? That should resolve the issue:
It does solve the problem.
Hi Chenggui and welcome to E-Learning Heroes!

I had the exact same problem. Thank you so much!

As of TODAY:
