After publishing with Articulate360, unrelated slides are mixed.

May 26, 2020

When editing the template file and publishing with Articulate 360 Studio, there is a phenomenon that slides different from the published target are mixed. As a provisional measure, select all the edited slides, paste them into a new PPT file, and then publish. In that case, it turns out that it can be converted normally. However, I want to publish the template file as it is without editing it and pasting it in another file.

Anybody knows what is cause of this problem?

The publishing method is as follows.

1. Slide settings
-Click the Articulate tab and set the screen layout and attached link destination with Player.
-Set the slide switch timing to By user (manual user) in Slide Properties.
-Set the slide page feed seconds in Options.
(Do not go to the next slide within 3 seconds)
2. Quiz settings
・ Open quiz file
・ Set layout with Player
・ 100% correct answer in Quiz Properties, no time limit set
・ Set the upper limit of test mistake in Edit Result (twice)
・ Edit Quizmaker is used to set correct / incorrect questions, multiple choice questions, question contents, and answer explanations.
・ When you make a mistake in the test with Edit Properties, return to the page Show in menu as and set Single item
3. Publish settings
・ Code and title settings
・ Set the storage location of the artifact file
・ Set Formats to "HTML5 Only" in Properties
・ Set LMS Reporting to Completed / Incomplete in Reporting
・ Set Track using number of slides viewed in Tracking

4. Publish  -> Select ZIP  -> Save  -> Close

Attached file is our data. (Sorry Japanese file name and contents)

Hi there, Norimasa!

I'm happy to help you sort this discrepancy. Here's a recap of my testing:

  • I previewed and then published file, 0417教育資料_TEST011(08)_精製水の廃棄, for LMS using Presenter 360 Build 8.25.21221.0. Then, I hosted the output on SCORM Cloud, an industry-standard LMS testing tool.
  • A handful of Japanese characters are missing when looking at the content during preview and the published output in Chrome 83.

I'd like to get a second opinion from our Support Engineers to see if I can gain further insight into what's happening. Look out for an email, and I'll follow the case!

Thank you for your support about Japanese font problem.
However the phenomenon of mixed data has recurred.

Occurrence procedure
1. Publish ProvidedDcoument_ARG0005_TEST.pptx data first.
2. Publish ProvidedDocument_ARG0012_CheckMixProcudure.pptx data second.

After that published ARG0012 data content mixed ARG0005 data.
Please check MixAvailableSumTotalScreenShot(ARG0012).docx. that e-Learning SumTotal screen shots.

Please check Page 7/12. This is not ARG0012 data. This is ARG0005 page 4 data.

Could you advice?
1. What is cause of this problem?
2. How to solve this problem?

Hi Norimasa,

Thank you for sharing what's going on, and I appreciate all of the clues!

I'm unable to replicate the missing characters on 4. 用語の定義; Definitions, but I do see the incorrect characters on 6. 手順; Procedure

Recreating the text box on 6. 手順; Procedure seems to help:

How do both slides look when you try my output? Also, keep me posted if recreating that text box helps!

Katie-san

Thank you for your quick advice.

We also currently copy whole content data from the original presentation file. and past content to new presentation file. And then publishing e-Learning data for prevent mix content.

However number of E-Learning publishes is too many. And it takes a lot of time to check and copy/paste the data.

Please let us know how to solve this phenomenon without edit power point data.
