AICC Errors being displayed to students

Jan 18, 2018

My context is Presenter 13 published for AICC but this might be similar for other products.

The normal course of a lesson is that the lesson is opened and passed the minimal variables needed for the lesson to issue a GetParam (gets the starting info), then it sends up a PutParam according to the heartbeat variable in the lms.js file (defaults to 60000, we override for every 1 minute so user doesn't lose more than 1 minutes of progress if there is a problem). When the window is closed or you click on Exit, the lesson sense up a final ExitAu update.

If there is an error on the ExitAu, this message is displayed to the user. if there is an error sent to the lesson on a PutParam nothing appears to be displayed.

Where can I find documentation on what subset of AICC that the lessons are coded to?  For example, is "2.9.5 Student Data.Time Limit" implemented?

What is the error message number that should be sent in reply to a PutParam that would get the lesson to display the error message to the user and force the lesson to close?

Thank you.
