I'm looking for steps to lock the navigation so that learners cannot move forward and click through the presentation but have the ability to move back to view what they already have. I couldn't find an explanation for the most recent version of articulate. Help!
Here's some additional information on Navigation Restriction:
Free: This lets learners click slide titles in the menu to navigate to any part of the course at any time. They can view slides in any order.
Restricted: This means learners can view the current slide and any slide they previously viewed, but they can't use the menu to jump ahead or skip over slides.
Locked: This means learners can only view slides in the order you've designed. They can't use the menu to jump ahead or skip over slides, nor can they use it to go back to any previously viewed slides.
I think that the "Restricted" navigation option would work best for you. This would allow learners to go back, and review the content they've already seen, but will keep them from jumping forward in the project.
Yes, if you have it set to "Locked" learners won't be able to navigate forward or backward. This is usually used for courses that advance automatically and don't allow for reviewing of previous slides.
You'll want to use just "Restricted" through the player options and remove the "Locked" option from the slide properties.

Let us know if you have any questions!
I tried the option in preview but it still doesn't work...is it because I have the slides "locked"? Do they need to be "free" and restricted?
THANK YOU!!!
