Animating image in front of video

Hi. We're trying to have an image animate to fade in & fade out as a video is playing on one slide.

So far we can't get this to work. Do you know if:

1. An image object can be inserted to show up in front of a video playing in a slide?

2. Animations on slides with video can be timed to begin # seconds into the video? (We've tried timing the animation to "Start with previous" but with a delay of # seconds and also "Start after previous" after it delays # seconds. Neither works. Both of these result in us seeing the image flash on the slide briefly before the video plays.)

Objects on a slide will always appear behind a video in your published output so there really isn't a way to do that. You could have the object appear and fade out and then display the movie x seconds into the slide, just not simultaneously.

Hi Kari -

If you needed layering control over your videos, you could use Quizmaker which gives you both a timeline and layers. You can place objects over your videos, fade them in and out and even control when the video appears and disappears.
