Animation in powerpoint changes or doesn't work when published in

Jul 26, 2012

I have a course with 15 modules. These modules contain slides that have text, a picture of a person and a speech bubble with text. This is all visible on the slide. There is a 'click to continue' instruction followed by more text.

On powerpoint slide view the click to continue 'works'. When the slide is published (or previewed in articulate) the animation doesn't exist and the second text (after the click to continue) is visible on the slide.

I found a similar issue on the support site with a resolution concerning animating only the object not the text but this does not solve my problem.

To add to the problem, these slides have been published for months with no problem. They were re-published this week in exactly the same way and no changes were made to the slides but the problem has now appeared.

Any explanations as to why the problem has suddenly arisen or how to fix it??

Karen,

This sounds very odd that they worked for months and then after republishing they no longer work.  Was there anything that changed since the course was originally developed?  Was there a change from PPT 2007 to PPT 2010 or did the internet explorer or flash version change?

Please let us know if you are still having problems,

Thanks Melanie for your response. However, nothing changed in terms of softwarebetween the Friday before and the Monday I re-published the modules. There were a couple of corrections made to some slides within the modules but not the same slides I now have issues with and not in all modules.

There was another problem as well where a text box in a 'speech bubble' moved outside the bubble too!! I definately have gremlins playing in my backyard at the moment
